my boyfriends mother is from here. her name is semone ellen (lloyd) holland.aka (monnie). she moved to the states in 1946 and is now 90 years old.she also lived in norwich, village of diss before leaving for the states.

Largo da Corujeira com uma árvore ao centro.
Esta árvore foi plantada cerca de oitenta anos atrás, por indicção do Sr. Avelino Monteiro dos Santos, funcionário da CMM que , vivendo em S.Mamede de Infesta, foi-lhe solicitado um parecer sobre onde se deveriam plantar árvores cá na Freguesia. Era um tempo em que, não havendo esta preocupação de arboriozação, para contrariar
este efeito de poluição, havia o bom senso de se aborizarem os meios populacinais.
A árvore serve para regular o tânsito e emprestar frescura a este largo da Corujeira.
Espero que se mantenha a velha árvore e um dia se faça a sua substituição, caso a árvore, "que morre de pé" tenha chegado ao seu fim.

This is not the actual designated footpath, the footpath actually runs from the gate at the apperknowle end down the hedgerow to the other gate at st johns road at unstone then up to the right down the path to spring bank

Sorry, This is not the Cricklestone which is elsewhere. It's a 18th century boundary stone to mark the grounds of the Peper Harow estate from Elstead parish and thursley parish. The name was probably given to it by S. Baring gold who lived at thursley and wrote a book-the broomsquire. It comes from a quarry at boundless copse near hindhead.

Hoy visitamos con mis hijos este lugar, es muy tranquilo y hermoso, hay patos y pajaritos, no hay ruidos, solo se escuchan los cantos de los pajaritos, pudimos entrar al lugar, gracias a un lugareño que nos dio entrada por su casa, pudimos recorrer por la orilla del tranque, es bien grande, parecía un lago, hace rato que no estaba en contacto con la naturaleza de esa forma, gracias Dios por darme la posibilidad de conocer un lugar tan lindo y tranquilo.
