Moorland and Bog Mostly boggy with grass and moss, but some raised heathery areas as seen on the right. Montreal Wood in the distance.
Curlew (Numenius arquata) The biggest of the grey-brown waders with a long curved bill. There were several of these birds on the fields at Shannoch.
